local favorites, and the things that make her her. Because every mom has a story worth sharing — and you never know when reading someone else’s story might make you think, “Wait… me too.”
Mama Spotlight is a chance to meet the incredible moms who make up our village and get to know the women behind the mom-life posts, events, and community. Each spotlight shares a little about her family, motherhood journey,
Tiffany is a stay-at-home mom who loves the chaos, joy, and everyday moments of raising her kids while building community for other local moms. She’s especially passionate about creating a village where moms can find friendship, support, and a place to feel less alone. After navigating a difficult pregnancy and postpartum experience, she’s become a strong advocate for moms and the importance of talking openly about the realities of motherhood. These days, she’s balancing mom life with Pilates, strength training, beach days, and her latest obsession with Off Campus and housewives.

Marissa has been a Monmouth County girl for most of her life and loves everything our area has to offer, from the beach and waterfronts to the local restaurants and parks. She’s a new mom to Charlotte and is currently soaking up all the little moments, from wet baby kisses to the chaos of breastfeeding. After starting out in dental assisting, Marissa eventually found her way into fitness and is now working to build a space where moms can get stronger and more confident while their kids play and socialize. Her goal is simple: create a village where moms don’t have to choose between taking care of themselves and being there for their kids.
Aneesa is a new mama to her baby girl, soaking up the newborn stage with her husband Tarek and their two cats, Nala and Bobo. Motherhood has made her appreciate the little moments she never would have noticed before—from contact naps and stroller walks to tiny smiles and middle-of-the-night cuddles. She loves exploring Ocean & Monmouth County with her little one and hopes to find more genuine mom friendships along the way. As someone who works in cybersecurity education, becoming a mom also inspired her to create Your Secure Mom Friend, helping other parents think about digital footprints, privacy, and online safety.

Alessia is a mama to a two-year-old son and a seven-year-old shepherd mix, and her family loves being outside, exploring new places, and saying yes to the next adventure. She never expected motherhood to bring such meaningful friendships, especially the closeness that can grow between moms who haven’t known each other very long. She loves how much Ocean & Monmouth County has to offer families, from the parks and local businesses to all the ways moms can get out and connect. Outside of mom life, Alessia works in corporate marketing and dreams of one day opening a farm where children and families going through difficult times can connect with animals, nature, and a supportive community.

Kris is a Point Pleasant mama to little boy Gary, wife to Dustin, and proud mom to their dogs Moose and Lola and cat Humphrey, while always keeping their beloved angel dog Cali close to her heart. After more than 12 years in the fitness industry, she’s found a way to bring that passion into motherhood through The Mom’s Move Club, a community where moms can move their bodies, bring their babies, meet other moms, and show up exactly as they are. These days, she’s loving restaurant outings with her family, discovering new coffee spots, trying healthy recipes, and spending time at Toms River Fitness, where Gary loves seeing his little friends. Motherhood has taught her just how demanding postpartum can be and, more importantly, how much moms need support, community, and people who truly understand what they’re going through.

Christina is a first-time mama to baby Colby, wife to Matt, and proud cat mom to Ollie, navigating this brand-new chapter while finding her footing in motherhood. A former Pre-K through first grade teacher turned sales trainer, she’s passionate about creating meaningful experiences for little ones and their families. After maternity leave, she realized how few evening options existed for working families, which inspired her to create Little Beans—a place for kids to sing, dance, explore, learn, and make friends while moms build community too. When she’s not building her village, Christina is all about beach walks, bike rides, Pilates, cold brew, reality TV, and a good drink at Last Wave.
Jessica is a Brick mama raising her three little ones—a daughter, an older son, and her 15-month-old—and is also a proud dog mom to Fozzie. Between the never-ending exhaustion and all the beautiful chaos of motherhood, she loves getting out with her family, discovering new coffee spots, trying healthy recipes, and finding cozy ways to spend their time together. Her creative side has grown into Blooming Rose Paint & Create, which she founded in 2024 to bring unique crafts, painting projects, kids’ activities, birthday celebrations, and pop-up events to families throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties. She especially loves creating special experiences around the holidays and giving local families even more ways to make memories together.
