Ocean/Monmouth County Mamas
Building the Village, One Mama at a Time

about ocean/monmouth county mamas
ocean/monmouth county mamas was created to take that same feeling of connection and bring it into a bigger space — one where local moms could find their people, discover what's happening around them and build real-life connections.
how it started
omcm didn't start with a website, a guide, or a big plan. it started with a group chat. this group chat was some local moms to talk, ask questions, share recommendations, vent, laugh, make plans and help each other figure out this whole motherhood thing. and somewhere along the way, it became clear that the village was bigger than a group chat. there were so many moms looking for the same things: where are we taking the kids this weekend? what's happening around here? does anyone know a good place for this? who wants to meet up? and, sometimes, simply... "any other moms feel like this?" that's where omcm grew from.
what omcm means
omcm stands for ocean/monmouth county mamas. but it's more than the name of a group. it's a community built around the idea that motherhood is better when you don't have to do it alone. we're here to connect moms with moms, families with local experiences, and our community with the people and places that make it special.
the village
the village isn't just a saying. it's what we're building. a place where a new mom can find someone to talk to. where a mom can find a playdate when her kids are climbing the walls. where someone can discover a local event they never would have found otherwise. where moms can support local businesses. where friendships can start from a simple "hey, anyone want to meet up?" that's why you'll find more than just events here. you'll find the village guide. local events and activities. family-friendly places. local businesses. community resources. mama meetups. recommendations. and, most importantly, other moms.
our motto
building the village, one mama at a time. because that's really how it happens. one conversation. one group chat. one recommendation. one playdate. one new friendship. one mama saying "come with us." little by little, connection by connection, the village gets bigger. and that's what omcm is all about. not being the perfect mom. not having it all figured out. not doing motherhood alone. just local mamas, showing up for each other. welcome to the village. 🤎
